Petr Kotik’s Post-Modernist S.E.M. Ensemble has long consorted with the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians, masters of Post-Modern Jazz (not that you can limit them to a genre). The composers on this program include — this is only some of them — George Lewis, Muhal Richard Abrams, Henry Threadgill, and Amina Claudine Myers. So you KNOW the music will be great.
