Having brought the third edition of their NYC Alt Classical songbook — songs by New York composers about life in New York — to Brooklyn (it was great!) and Staten Island in April, Five Boroughs Music now hits up Queens, the Bronx, and Manhattan. Just to list a few of my very faves on the composers’ roster to give you a taste of what the expect: Angélica Negrón, Majel Connery, Will Healy, Juri Seo, and Aaron Siegel.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Thursday in Flushing, you’re in the best food neighborhood in the City for God’s sake: make the choice easy on yourself by visiting the shiny new Tangram food court. Saturday in the Bronx, I honestly can’t help you in and around Charlotte Gardens; if you go and find anything worthwhile, let me know. Sunday in the Village, Urban Italian at Il Buco Alimentari & Vino.
