There is all this really great Late Renaissance (and Baroque — but that’s another concert) choral music, written by Peninsular (meaning having come to the Americas from actual Spain) and Colonial/Creole composers, hiding in plain sight in Cathedral libraries in Latin America. Maybe because the composers had to be seriously concerned with audience appeal, their music got a few steps livelier. You will love this stuff.
