Split Britches has been doing (incisive, hilarious) Downtown Performance for a long enough time that it isn’t surprising to see them grapple with mortality. What couldn’t be foreseen was that their initial attempt would be bushwacked by a Pandemic, which forced them to reconceive it as a remote digital presentation. Now they return to a live version — which is not to say they’ve totally ditched the digital stuff.
