The first of two opportunities this weekend to see F.W. Murnau’s monumentally creepy silent vampire movie/masterpiece of German Expressionist film Nosferatu with live accompaniment (there’s another one with a very interesting organ accompaniment in Washington Heights tomorrow). Tonight the violin/piano duo Tenth Intervention revive (a word I use advisedly in this context) their highly atmospheric live score, which made a big impact in Before Times.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Given an owner’s piggish — neigh, deeply offensive — response to COVID restrictions, I am hesitant to recommend your spending money at Threes Brewing even though you’ll already be there. But he’s supposed to be divesting (maybe he even has) — and the burgers are good.
