Soulful but not simpy, pianist/composer Gerald Clayton is the real deal. He has an interesting piano/sax/vibes trio concept here. And the sax is new ruling altoist Emmanuel Wilkins! As for the vibes chair, Simon Moullier (on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday) is good — but I’d hold out for the supreme Joel Ross on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.
