Park Jiha is another of those musicians taking traditional Korean instruments and styles and pushing them into the avant — a constitently compelling and fascinating approach. Time Wharp (a project of Brooklyn’s own Kaye Loggins) dances at the edge of ambient musak — but, happily, avoids falling in: there are beats underneath this music!
