A new piece by Justin Peck set to Caroline Shaw’s Greatest Hit (sung by Roomful of Teeth!!!!!) is a mighty enticing prospect. But it’s still a safe bet that Merce Cunningham’s 63-year-old Summerspace, set to music by Morton Feldman with a set by Robert Rauschenberg, will be the freshest and most radical piece on the program.
