Avant-pop composer-multi-instrumentalist Toby Driver is a poser. He plays with good people — Jeremiah Cymerman, Kelly Moran — but his own stuff often strikes at least this listener as thin. His new ambient Alora Crucible project is no exception: let’s say it’s pleasant. About übereclectic post-Minimalist guitarist Gyan Riley there need be no reservations.
