Did you know that the great jazz tuba player Bob Stewart is the father of one of the violinists in PUBLIQuartet? Neither did I. But this afternoon, they’ll play together. They’ll play Jessie Montgomery (who left the quartet to spend more time being one of the hottest composers around), Vijay Iyer, Rhiannon Giddens, and arrangements of Gaye and Ellington.
