Jane Antonia Cornish’s Sierra is a gorgeous (if thin) celebration of nature and its calming/stimulating effects on us humans. Vicky Chow is just the pianist to play it.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: In person, eclectic food at As You Are. Streaming at home, have a Deep Cleanse: muddle 3 cucumber slices and 1/2 oz. Simple Syrup at the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Add ice. Pour in 1-1/2 oz. Gin, 2 oz. aloe vera juice (for once, it doesn’t have to be fresh), an 1 squeeze of lime juice. Shake. Strain into a Martini glass or coupe. Garnish with another cucumber slice.
