Susie Ibarra is not only a sensationally good percussionist; she’s also an extremely interesting musical thinker, making much use of the music of her ancestral Philippines. Tonight the signal flautist Claire Chase curates a program of Ibarra’s new works, played by Ibarra’s great Talking Gong Trio (including Chase) and Chase’s students in the Harvard New Music Ensemble.
