Du Yun makes contemporary classical music without worrying if it incorporates contemporary vernacular. So it comes as no surprise that tonight’s staged performances of two of her pieces involve Satomi Matsuzaki of Deerhoof. This would be unmissable if it didn’t conflict with Bang on a Can’s Long Play festival. What to do?
