Composer Ryan Lott’s band project Son Lux is one of the best of the pop/classical units. I always thought I disliked the music of opener Emily Wells, but she’s been getting pretty beaty lately and it helps.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Vietnamese sensation Falansai is one of the best restaurants in Brooklyn right now. And you can pass by the Joyva factory going between there an Elsewhere, giving you a chance to genuflect to them around the season at which they excel.
