Sara Serpa, a melodically and conceptually fascinating singer-songwriter originally from Portugal, teams up with the Nigerian author Emmanuel Iduma to produce a song cycle for voices and electronics (Qasim Naqvi!) taking off from Iduma’s book reflecting on his travel from Lagos up the coast of Africa.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: In person, eclectic food at As You Are. Streaming at home, have a Chapman (non-virgin version duh): pour 2 oz. each of orange soda, lemon-lime soda, and gin, and 1/4 oz. Grenadine, with 1 dash of Angostura bitters, into a Collins glass over ice. Garnish with orange, lemon, and cucumber slices.
