A concert exploring the relationship between composers and interpreters. Here, the interpreters include Irish pollinators and Arctic ice (to the extent ice can be said to “interpret”) in Karen Power’s case; and a battery of percussion is Stewart Saunders Smith’s.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: In person, nearby Mexican El Zasón appears to have dumbed down its menu somewhat before I had a chance to get there: the story of my life. Streaming at home, have an Alaska: pour 2-1/4 oz. Old Tom Gin and 1/4 oz. yellow Chartreuse, with 1 dash of Angostura bitters, into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Stir. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe. Garnish with a lemon twist.
