The six-piano Grand Band performs a set of New York composers, including among others, aside from their own Erica Dohi, Julius Eastman (Gay Guerilla!) and Philip Glass (an arrangement of the ninth part of Music in Twelve Parts!).

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Lots to eat and drink on Governors Island, with my usual shout out to the almost ridiculously scenic and pleasant Island Oyster, which doesn’t need to have food nearly as good as it does.
