It’s not drummer-composer Lukas Ligeti’s fault that he’s the son of the greatest classical composer of the second half of the 20th Century. One wonders whether he got the African influences from his (Hungarian) father, or his father got them from him? Lukas takes them much further, that’s for sure. In the many contexts he works in, his work is a blast.
MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: It’ll be nice to go back to the comfortable Emilia-Romagnan food at Da Andrea (do yourself a favor and start with the Tigelle Modenesi con Prosciutto).
