Violinist Curtis Stewart of the PUBLIQuartet plays a characteristically compelling and wide-ranging solo set, including pieces by Alice Coltrane, Brahms, Ellington, Purcell, Kendrick Lamar/Thundercat, and Bach.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Lots to eat and drink on Governors Island. I guess it’s worth noting that the douchey Costa Maya mockup Gitano Island has opened for the Summer. I myself have made it a habit this year, after a day on the Island, to walk over to the wonderful Cafe Spaghetti (in Carroll Gardens/Columbia Waterfront) from the Brooklyn Bridge Park Atlantic Avenue Ferry Landing.
