Guitarist Nir Felder doesn’t play fusion, but you can clearly tell that he’s a jazz musician who grew up listening to rock and pop: the rhythms chug more than swing, and there’s a strong strain of melody beneath the edge. His nonpareil rhythm section comprises bassist Ben Street and the fascinating drummer Dan Weiss (also deeply rooted in rock).
