Twenty years ago, the late Greg Tate — cultural critic, bandleader — had the idea of integrating dance into his conception of a conducted funk orchestra. This show revives the idea. Guest appearance by the great avant-power trio Harriet Tubman — if you don’t know them, believe that this is one of the best tips I’ve ever given you!
