I’ll be honest: I’m kind of over Nouvelle Cirque. It’s devolved to the point of being consistently twee and New Agey, fronting as profound while advancing the most banal platitudes, the presentations getting slicker and slicker. Nevertheless, I for one continue to be amazed by demonstrations of what the human body is capable of (theirs — certainly not mine).

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Have you been to the new iteration of Jonathan Waxman’s Barbuto yet? (Still serving the famous chicken, thank God.)
