Not the kind of thing we usually List here — but too great to pass up. To celebrate its exact 75th anniversary, New York City Ballet recreates its opening program: all Balanchine, of course, and all prime. Concerto Barocco (my favorite?), Orpheus (the piece that directly led to the formation of City Ballet), Symphony in C: what must this have seemed like then? Quite simply someof the very best Neo-Classical works (in any genre) to have come out of the 20th Century.
