The DeCapo Chamber Players play a rather stodgy Old Skool Modernist program of three generations (young/old/dead) of American composers. Even the youngster still writes like there’s an Uptown/Downtown split (and he’s on the Northside). And the dead one’s the most youthful-sounding. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
