The fabulous, exciting, edgy, melodic, ever-surprising trumpet player jaimie branch won’t be there, of course. But there’ll be a showing of a film fortuitously made of her last concert with her unique band Fly or Die. And a bunch of other trumpet players, and musicians from branch’s orbit, playing in tribute to her. But no branch. What a loss.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: In person, a new bar around the corner from Roulette! The Little Pig. Streaming at home, have an Obituary: pour 2 oz. Gin and 1/4 oz. each of dry Vermouth and Absinthe into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Stir. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe.
