A very attractive program from the String Orchestra of Brooklyn under the leadership of violinist Giora Schmidt. Some Virgil Thomson, some Françaix, some Bartók, a very appealing minor Schubert piece that I for one have never heard played live. Too bad Vivaldi sounds like Spumiglie when played on modern instruments.
