So John Cage had conceived of this Noh-Opera (subtitled The Complete Musical Works of Marcel Duchamp) to be staged in Japan. But he never actually wrote (or — this is Cage — “wrote”) it. Now, composer/performer/sound artist Tomomi Adachi hasn't “realized” Cage’s piece but written his own imagination of what a Cage Noh-Opera could be like. Sung by Gelsey Bell, acted by Noh actor Wakako Matsuda, played by wind soloists from the International Contemporary Ensemble.
