Dancer Leslie Cuyjet's choreography gets better and better: she's one of those people who've mastered the art of being both abstract and analytic on the on hand and emotionally piercing on the other. Take this piece, a study of Cuyjet’s great aunt Marion, a pioneer in dance education for people of color (her students included Judith Jamison), which involves both personal memories and research.
