I can imagine some stick-in-the-mud fuddie duddies finding Gryphon Rue’s trippy pop-Ambient-Minimalism insubstantial. I can only tell them to lighten up. One one of these pieces Rue will be joined by Ka Baird and Qasim Naqvi: is that good enough for you?

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: In person, a new bar around the corner from Roulette! The Little Pig. Streaming at home, have a Vieux Carré: pour 3/4 oz. each of Rye, Cognac, and sweet Vermouth and 1/2 oz. Bénédictine, with 2 dashes each of Angostura and Peychaud’s bitters,into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Stir. Strain into an Old Fashioned glass over ice. Garnish with a cocktail cherry.
