This question is undoubtedly of more interest to me than it is to you, but why do I find some spacey droney Post-Folk music enthralling, and some feckless and boring? I think it has to do with whether they’re sufficiently Post-. Setting, I’m sorry to say, falls into the “feckless and boring” category. Loren Connors’s space blues, OTOH, is some of the most unique, enthralling stuff out there. And Connors’s co-guitarist for this night, Alan Licht, has been fascinating me (for one) for years.
