Electronic composer Matt McBane follows up last year’s wonderful Bathymetry — whose title makes it sound like it was written for Ashley Bathgate, but it wasn’t — with a terrestrial companion piece that was written for the cellist (along with a percussion ensemble as was featured in Bathymetry). As if that’s not enough — and believe me, McBane’s atmospheric music is really really good — Bathgate will play a solo set.
