New stuff from the expert vocal-instrumental TAK Ensemble. I’m especially looking forward to the piece by Michelle Lou — a composer I’ve been wanting to hear more of since coming upon her at MATA at some point — that is said to be “a slow-moving quasi-installation performance, . . . [that] interweaves electronic environments with rock and grunge inspired song, drone, and geological rhythms.”

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Littleneck evokes a seaside clam bar — even if it’s more sludge-side.
