Back in the ‘80s and ‘90s, it looked like Ellen Taafe Zwillich could be the Great Hope of orchestral music. She wrote in a Neo-Romantic idiom that’s totally out of fashion now. But I’ve been listening to some of her stuff recently, and it still sounds really good. Quality will out.
