One of the most sensuous pieces in the (almost) mainstream repertroire (but also one of the noisiest) led by one of the least sensuous conductors (he’ll bring the noise, though — to a fault). Jean-Yves Thibaudet takes the piano part. The all-important ondes martenot part is played by ondesmeister Cynthia Millar.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: You can just make it to Kwame Onwuachi’s in-house Afro-Caribbean restaurant Tatiana (not to be confused with the one in Brighton Beach) for dinner after the Thursday and Friday shows. Sunday, maybe Épicere Boulud.
