A really special night. The debut of Everloving, an Alt NYC supergroup — Jonathan Kane! Dave Soldier! Jim McHugh! Peter Kerlin! Matt Mottel! — devoted to the music of List secret stash Henry Flynt, a New York avant-gardist starting in the ‘60s who was unafraid of using vernacular forms to make aesthetic, philosophical, and political points. Loren Connors plays his unique abstracted space-blues guitar. And Cate Kennan, who’s from LA and sounds it, makes ambient guitar music that can only be described as lovely.
