With Miss ambivalent, the terrific jazz bassist Lim Yang goes all singer-songwritery. Guitarist Grey Mcmurray is a sure thing — even if you never know wheter he’s going to be the New Music Grey Mcmurray, the avant-jazz Grey Mcmurry, the spacey Post-Rock Grey Mcmurray, or some combination: they’re all terrific.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: The food at the venue, Mama Tried, is totally edible. The drinks are fine (they make their own vermouth!).
