Ben Bennett is one of those percussionists who are more interested in exploring sound than keeping a beat; Toshi Makihara adds body movement to the mix. You can’t say that Kid Millions isn’t interested in keeping a beat — but you can say he’s uninterested in sounding like any other drummer. He and violinist Sarah Bernstein have made some very interesting music together
