Whatever you think of his band Wilco, Nels Cline is a pretty amazing guitarist. And saxophonist Ingrid Laubrock, bassist Chris Lightcap (who has a similar stylistic range to Cline), and drummer Tom Rainey are three of the best avant-jazz players in New York City.
