Trumpeter Nate Wooley combines notated and unnotated music in his amazing ensemble. Matteo Liberatore’s Molto Ohm project uses sound (with dance beats!) and visuals to explore alienation, both from by and tech and from labor. Althea Quilombo is ace drummer Tcheser Holmes’s longform piece about slavery. Happy Juneteenth!
