Pairs of audience members sit facing each with pulse readers on their fingers attached to sound and light generators. If their heartbeats sync, the sound becomes consonant and pleasant. If their heartbeats stay out of sync, the sound becomes dissonant and grating. Forgive me if it sounds like I’d prefer the out-of-sync.
