Trombonist Craig Harris has been so good for so long that it’s easy to take him for granted. Don’t.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: In person, the Midwestern food at Patti Ann’s is tasty enough. Too bad it’s so rich, and the portions are so big, that you can’t actually eat it (or at least come near finishing it). Streaming at home, have a Brooklyn: pour 2 oz. Rye, 1 oz. dry Vermouth, and 1/4 oz. each of Maraschino liqueur and Golden Moon Amer dit Picon (or Bigallet Chino-Chino or CioCiaro) into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Stir. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe.
