Whether they last a day or only two and a half hours like this one, the works of dance/performance mainstay Yoshiko Chuma — an artist like no other — are epic. Not epic like David Lean — portentious and sweeping — but epic in scope and inclusivity (and discursiveness). Another word might be “baggy” — but me, I like baggy. And speaking of epic, you won’t believe the cast of dancers, actors, and musicians she’s assembled for this.
