It’s always a treat to hear the fabulous Aizuri Quartet (even if the one-hopes-temporarily reconfigured line-up playing tonight lacks fireball violist Ayane Kozawa). They’re doing a lot of Armenian folklorist Komitas in their Summer 2023 stand at Madison Square Park, and in this show also some Eleanor Alberga — also always a treat to hear — and the reliably vivacious Paul Wiancko (who knows the missing Ayane Kozawa very well).

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: I know I must sound like a broken record, but you really ought to go to Mark’s Off Madison for Mark Straussman’s delightful Italian-with-some-Askenazic-ringers food.
