Trumpeter Nate Wooley combines notated and unnotated music in his amazing ensemble. DoYeon Kim is a leading member of NYC’s avant-Korean squad, taking her gayageum places it hasn’t previously gone. There aren’t that many places the guitar hasn’t previously gone, but Mike Haldeman stays away from the more familiar ones.
