Nico was imposed on the Velvet Underground by Andy Warhol rather than being of them. But who’d want to be without “All Tomorrow’s Parties” or “I’ll Be Your Mirror” or “Femme Fatale”? This is a recreation of a 1986 interview a couple of years before Nico’s all-too-timely death, and you won’t be shocked to learn that Nico does not come across as unrepulsive. Tammy Faye Starlite’s impersonation is astonishing. If you don’t hugely love the Velvets, what are you doing reading this List?
