Damon Locks started out playing Punk with Fred Armisen (of all things), but he went on to sort of meld Conscious Jazz and Funk in a way that frees your ass and your mind at the same time, instead of one following the other. Instead of his fabulous little big band, tonight he’s joined by fellow Chicago scenesters Rob Mazurek and Lori Scacco (electronics).
