The big news here for me at least is Thee Reps. They like to call themselves as mashup of Krautrock, Minimalism, and Post-Rock. But I like to think of them as what Prog would have been if it were good. And I mean, look at the band’s line-up: Sam Morrison, Dave Ruder, Jeff Tobias, Andie Tanning, and Mike McCurdy; you can have blind faith in this unit. Meanwhile, the invaluable electronic musician Celia Lopez crosses the Andes to team up with guitarist etc. Toto Alvarez. Slüthaven has an umlaut.

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: The food at the venue, Mama Tried, is totally edible. And the drinks are fine (they make their own vermouth!).
