Trumpeter Peter Evans, intense and devotional, is always worth hearing; here he’s in a duo with drummer Mike Pride, whom I believe put this program together. The rising bassist Jeong Lim Yang is also worth a listen. As for Miriam Elhajli, well, a lot of people like folkie songwriters more than I do.
