Cree/Lakota theatermaker Cliff Cardinal recasts As You Like It as a reflection on the relationship between Indigenous people and Colonial settlers (when you think about it, you can see how this pastorale took him there) (of course, Shakespeare has one play that’s pretty much explicitly about that). This List only hopes that Cardinal leaves in its favorite sentence in all of English prose. How did that guy write like that?
