The 1920s — one hundred years ago! — really were Golden Years for European Art Music — mainly because in that decade the Art Music borrowed heavily from Pop Music. On this program, we get tangy tangy music by Hindemith (bet you didn’t know there was a period when he was funny!) and Weill — and some of Schoenberg’s arrangements of Strauss waltzes!
